The hamlet lays a few kilometers south of Castellina in Chianti, along the "Chiantigiana", the roman road that leads from Florence to Siena. The Mazzei family, owners of Fonterutoli since 1435, has been passionately involved in the making of wine from their vineyards for over five hundred years.
The Castello del Trebbio offers a peaceful setting with breathtaking views only 20 minutes away from Florence. Originally a 12th century fortress and then home to Florence`s famous Medici family, the present owners have restored the villa with respect to its rich history.
Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, Castello di Pratelli offers the medieval charm of days gone by and the convenience of being near cities like Florence (20 km), Siena and Pisa. Thirteen separate and recently restored apartments, most with fireplaces, sleep from two to eight people.
