When Florentines wish to recreate the original, terracotta floors of Tuscany’s past, or invent new, modern designs, they turn to Poggi Ugo. In addition to fabulous floors, Poggi Ugo offers an original line of designer vases and sculpture, tables, and a garden and tile collection. Known worldwide as the "terracotta experts", the company still uses the old furnace, which dates back to the 1500s. Recently restored to its former glory, it is one of the largest furnaces in Tuscany and the centerpiece around which all production is carried out at the firm’s headquarters in the Impruneta countryside, just seven miles from Florence.
